The World Peace Center (Norway) expresses its deep concern over the ongoing atrocities
in El Fasher, North Darfur, where reports and verified videos indicate systematic attacks
against civilians following the occupation of the Sixth Infantry Division headquarters by
armed elements of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
These actions, which allegedly include killings, targeting of women and children, and
destruction of civilian infrastructure, constitute grave violations of international
humanitarian law, including the Geneva Conventions (1949) and the Rome Statute (1998).
We urge Your Excellency to:
1. Initiate an independent fact-finding mission under the UN Human Rights Council.
2. Demand the immediate cessation of hostilities and guarantee of humanitarian corridors.
3. Refer the situation in Darfur to the International Criminal Court for investigation and
accountability.
